Environmental Internship

The Conservation Law Foundation (CLF) sponsors an unpaid year-round internship program in all of our offices, suitable for college undergraduates and graduates, as well as graduate students. Internships provide an exciting opportunity to participate in the work of one of New England's leading environmental advocacy organizations. An environmental intern's work will depend on his or her interests, experience and skills, as well as CLF's current needs. Tasks may include, but are not limited to: research and writing, statistical analysis, website assistance and administrative tasks.

Projects of past interns have included:

  • Participation in CLF's Environmental Health and Justice initiative
  • Research and statistical presentation on smart growth indicators in New England states versus the rest of the nation
  • Research and writing on the location and waste output of nuclear power plants in New England
  • Responding to public inquiries through our information line
  • Creating advocacy timelines for the CLF website
  • Writing articles and profiles for CLF's journal and e-newsletter
  • Interns have abundant opportunities to attend court and legislative hearings, participate in stakeholder meetings, and conduct outreach activities. CLF interns are encouraged to participate fully in the life of the organization.
