Thank you for a well written piece.The threat of LNG has brought many people together to fight against the industrialization of Passamaquoddy Bay. This has been a positve result.
Maine should financially penalize LNG companies, like Calais LNG, that purposely mislead the public and the State.
When all is said and done, Canada will have the last word on LNG in Passamaquoddy Bay.

Well stated! An additional issue is the world LNG industry’s own terminal siting best safe practices that clearly indicate Passamaquoddy Bay as intrinsically inappropriate for such facilities. Great article. Very well said. NN is still here/has from day one (June 22, 2004) defended our bay — Passamaquoddy Bay — an inappropriate site for LNG. We have demonstrated nothing less than what it takes to achieve success — we have been without equivocation. Calais LNG is the 3rd proposal that NN has opposed.
