Now this obsolete plant is being required to fix the amount of water it takes from the Merrimack and how much it heats the river. This relic’s fundamental problem is the tons of coal it burns and carbon it adds to the atmosphere. PSNH will fight, but will add this fix; however it will still remain a major polluter.
