Thanks for your comment David. All energy projects impact the nearby community whether it be nuclear, wind, coal etc. Siting of energy projects is therefore very important and a critical component of the planning phase. Wind energy is no different.

Modern wind turbines are much quieter than the older designs. In fact, studies show that the noise level of a wind turbine at 300 m is comparable to the noise level of rustling leaves or the noise level of a library. And it is comparably less than normal road traffic (http://www.bwea.com/ref/noise.html). In this instance, the nearest private residence in Ipswich is about half a mile away (you can read more here http://www.ipswichrenewableenergy.org/WindTurbineFAQ.pdf ).

When it comes to energy sources, wind energy is significantly cleaner and has fewer environmental and human impacts. To confront the threat of climate change and reduce our dependence on finite fossil fuels, we must embrace renewable energy.

Sound like screams of terror to me. Wait untill they hear this montrosity in operation and some of them start getting headaches, vertigo and nausea.

Inappropriate remarks? You mean the truth, of course.
