		<description><![CDATA[CLF supported LD 2283, as did all who particpated in the task force process that led to that legislation.  We will continue to support good renewable energy projects that are appropriately located and benefit local communities and the State as a whole.  Renewable energy generation is one part of our goal to move Maine and New England off its reliaance on carbon based fuels for our electric and heating needs.  Just as important are increased efforts and penetration of energy efficiency measures, alternative transportation methods to the single occupancy vehicle, distributed generation and smart grid technology.]]></description>
