The CLF was certainly worked much harder to make sure the state followed through on the suburban commuter rail projects that were promised than the urban ones.
Dudley Sq light rail restored: NO
Green Line in JP restored: NO
Red-Blue connector: NO
Green Line to Somerville: NO

Yet, all the commuter rail projects went through. The CLF has repeatedly failed city residents who live close to their jobs but for whom it takes longer to get downtown than the privileged commuter rail riders (small in relative numbers) who sprawl out across the state.

Massachusetts needs a new environmental organization that cares about city inhabitants since the CLF has repeatedly shown it cares only for Sub-Urbanites.

Not sure why we are 'hoping' that the DOT will do anything right. Is the CLF going to step in where the City has no guts and sue the state again? If so where do I donate to the cause? I'll be happy to cut a check if it is dedicated to pushing the Green Line issue, like the rest of the city of Somerville I am a bit tired of my money not going where it is intended!!!

This time, sue to force the Commonwealth to put the entire cost of the line in an escrow fund to be used only for this line. The Commonwealth has unclean hands and this may be the only way to get it to obey the law.

Hey, Didn't the CLF sue to get this project going in the first place? Is there any kind of suit that could force the state's hand here? It seems unlikely that the state can just ignore the ruling.

Absolutely ridiculous. How about some legal action, CLF? Surely this latest delay lands them outside the bounds of the settlement of your original lawsuit 21 years ago.
