BOSTON, MA (APRIL 28, 2009) The Conservation Law Foundation (CLF), New England’s leading environmental group, has been an advocate for the region’s most treasured natural areas for over 40 years. Now, about to kick off it’s first-ever Great Green Giveaway Contest, CLF wants to know, “What have you done for the environment lately?”

The contest, launching on May 1, asks the general public to send in their family’s or friends’ favorite eco-friendly, earth-saving tip. Perhaps it’s keeping a garden, biking to work, or turning off the AC in the summer. Contestants will submit a description of their eco tip along with a photo of themselves and their family members or group of friends “being green.” Winners will be selected from the finalists through a public vote from the CLF community. The winning entrants will receive exciting prizes courtesy of generous sponsors: from a professional photoshoot of the winner and their family by a renowned photographer, to a “Family pack” of gear from Patagonia!

“The Great Green Giveaway is a creative, exciting way to engage CLF’s community of supporters and to hear how people are making sustainable, environmentally-conscious choices in their lives,” said Jessica Zander, a CLF Vice President. “I look forward to participating and learning some new tips along the way!”

Entrants will have the opportunity to submit their eco tips and photos until Midnight on May 31, 2009. CLF staff members are encouraged to enter the contest, but will not be eligible for prizes. Entrants will be able to see if their photos on the CLF Web site on June 8, where a video slide show of the entries can be found. The three winners will be announced on June 22.
