Press Statement on Cape Wind

A coalition of environmental, clean energy and labor interests issued the following statement in response to the Cape Wind resolution meetings convened by Interior Secretary Kenneth Salazar on January 13, 2010 in Washington, DC:

JANUARY 13, 2010 – “This is the moment for the Obama Administration to show the courage of its clean energy convictions. We urge the Administration to green light Cape Wind in Nantucket Sound, recognizing its importance as a national security, economic and environmental imperative. This project will show the country and the world that we can meet the twin objectives of delivering clean, renewable energy while preserving the nation’s history, cultural and natural resources.”
