CLF, NRDC, NWF and Deepwater Wind Announce Agreement to Protect Endangered Whales at Deepwater ONE Offshore Wind Farm Site

On May 7, 2014, Conservation Law Foundation (CLF), Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), National Wildlife Federation (NWF) and Deepwater Wind announced an agreement to implement additional protections for marine mammals, including the endangered North Atlantic Right Whale.

These environmental and conservation organizations have developed a set of additional protective measures with Deepwater Wind that will minimize impacts on North Atlantic Right Whales during the developer’s site characterization and assessment activities for the Deepwater ONE offshore wind farm in Rhode Island Sound.
