Alva Nurys Cedeño is Conservation Law Foundation’s Executive Assistant to the President. Alva came to CLF having been an Executive Assistant in a number of professional settings. Her interest in the environment and civic engagement began with the Massachusetts Public Interest Research Group (MASSPIRG) in 2012 where she worked on a Get Out the Vote initiative on her campus, and later on a campaign to update the Bottle Bill in Massachusetts. After MASSPIRG, Alva interned for the Office of Senator Elizabeth Warren for nine months before interning at the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the US Senate in the summer of 2015.
Alva is a degree candidate in her last year at the Harvard Extension School pursuing a Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Environmental Studies and a minor in Government. Alva is fluent in Spanish and an avid traveler, authoring a blog detailing her budget traveling in her spare time.
