Carolyn is a senior attorney on the Strategic Litigation team. Prior to joining CLF, Carolyn worked at Legal Services NYC where she led a large team of attorneys and paralegals fighting to preserve affordable housing in the Bronx by litigating discrimination and harassment cases against corporate bad actor landlords. Before that, Carolyn represented low-income individuals and groups in the areas of housing, employment, consumer and family law at Oregon Law Center and Legal Aid Chicago. Carolyn began her career as a judicial law clerk at the Chicago Immigration Court as part of the U.S. Department of Justice Attorney General’s Honors Program.
Carolyn earned a J.D with honors from DePaul University College of Law, a M.A. in political science from Loyola University Chicago and a B.A. in political science from the University of Dayton. She is admitted to practice in New York, Oregon and Illinois and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern District of New York, the District of Oregon, the Northern District of Illinois and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
In her free time, Carolyn enjoys traveling, baking, exploring nature, and learning photography.
