Toni Hicks has returned to CLF as Director of the CLF Senior Fellows Program, which draws on the considerable experience and expertise of “unaffiliated” lawyers who are transitioning into retirement or out of a career break. A former CLF Staff Attorney, Toni has worked on a wide range of issues, from transportation policy and stormwater management to renewable energy and regional climate action. Before returning to CLF, Toni created and taught a law school seminar on Environmental Advocacy. She has also served as Executive Director of Massachusetts Appleseed Center for Law & Justice, and as a litigation associate at Ropes & Gray.
Toni received her J.D. from Harvard Law School (cum laude) and her undergraduate degree (summa cum laude) from Princeton University. She is admitted to practice before the Massachusetts bar, the federal bar in Massachusetts, and the United States Court of Appeals for the 1st Circuit.
