Megan Mayhew Bergman is an author, journalist, and teacher who lives in southern Vermont. She teaches literature and writing at Middlebury College, where she also directs the Bread Loaf Environmental Writers’ Conference. Megan has written a column on the American South and Climate Change for The Guardian, and her work has been published in the New York Times, New Yorker, Paris Review, NPR, Oxford American, and Best American Short Stories. She was a fellow at the American Library in Paris, and previously served as the Associate Director of Bennington College’s Masters in Fine Arts Program, and on the board of the Governor’s Institutes of Vermont. She has a BA from Wake Forest University, an MA from Duke University, and an MFA from Bennington College. Her passion is helping people share ethical and compelling stories about the natural world to wider audiences.
