Amanda Yanchury

National Geographic photojournalist Brian Skerry has dived three times at Cashes Ledge over the last five years, as part of a project with Conservation Law Foundation to visually document the underwater mountain range.

In this clip, Brian discusses his unique outlook on how the ocean is rapidly changing, and why Cashes Ledge in New England is so unique and important:

“I feel a real sense of urgency to tell the story about this very special place that I believe needs to be protected.”
