In times of change and upheaval, we can also find room for hope and inspiration. New Englanders are known for our perseverance – and we continually emerge stronger when facing hardship.
This year is no exception. We always knew 2020 would be the start of a pivotal decade, as we have barely 10 years to significantly cut climate-damaging emissions worldwide. But we could not have predicted in January what a momentous year it would be. The pandemic and its tragic, yet unequal, impacts. A long-overdue racial reckoning. The increasingly uncertain political climate.
During these difficult times, it is more important than ever that we continue to show up, speak up, and step up – together – so we can meet these challenges head-on. From fighting for environmental justice to defending bedrock environmental protections, our community and country can do more to build a better future and emerge stronger.
Our 2020 Green Gala will be a virtual opportunity for reflection, inspiration, and celebration. Together with 500 CLF supporters, partners, and volunteers, we will hear local and national voices of action, hope, and change. Our program will feature Brian Skerry, National Geographic Photojournalist, Michelle Wu, Boston City Councilor, a special musical performance by Lake Street Dive, and Emi Ferguson giving a special musical presentation of Brian Skerry's work. And, while we will gather individually from the comfort of our homes, we will collectively emerge stronger, galvanized for the critical work to come in 2021 and beyond.
Join us on Wednesday, December 2nd for our Green Gala and be part of the solution to safeguard New England for all generations to come.

For more than 50 years, Conservation Law Foundation has embodied the New England spirit and led the fight to create healthy, thriving communities for all. Thanks to our tireless advocacy, today, Boston Harbor is the pride of the city, Georges Bank is free from big oil rigs, New England’s last dirty coal plant is on the verge of shutting down, and Big Oil is being called to account for the local impacts of their climate deceit.
