Heather Govern is an attorney and the Director of CLF’s Clean Water and Enforcement Programs. Previously, Heather worked as a staff attorney with the National Environmental Law Center, where she litigated against large corporations in violation of the Clean Air Act and Clean Water Act.
Heather holds a J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law, a Master in Environmental Law and Policy Center from Vermont Law School, and a B.A. from Amherst College. When not at work (or biking to and from work), Heather plays soccer, snowboards, and can be found running amok in the South End with her partner, two sons, and shelter dog, Norris. Heather is also actively engaged in her neighborhood association as a member of Friends of Blackstone and Franklin Squares and regularly teaches ESL classes at Rosie’s Place in Boston.
