Elena Mihaly to Lead CLF Vermont

October 18, 2021 (MONTPELIER, VT) – After a competitive search, Elena Mihaly has been chosen to lead Conservation Law Foundation’s (CLF) advocacy in Vermont at a crucial time for communities and our environment. Elena has been an attorney at CLF since 2016, and she has served as Interim Vice President since August.

“Elena’s commitment to the communities and natural resources of Vermont knows no bounds,” said CLF President Bradley Campbell. “Elena is a tireless and passionate environmental champion, and her leadership will be critical in advancing CLF’s mission in Vermont. We’re thrilled she’s agreed to take on this role.”

“We’re at a critical point in determining the future of Vermont,” said Elena Mihaly, Vice President CLF Vermont. “Now is the time to do our part to slash climate emissions, prepare our communities to be resilient in the face of the climate crisis, and ensure our natural resources are protected. I’m eager to get to work leading CLF’s efforts in the State House and the courtroom here in Vermont.”

Prior to CLF, Elena worked with the Colorado Attorney General’s Office, the Natural Resources Defense Council, and the Institute for Energy and the Environment at Vermont Law School. She holds her JD and Master of Environmental Law and Policy from Vermont Law School and her BA in Environmental Studies from Colorado College.
