Mary has been with Conversation Law Foundation’s Legal Food Hub since 2019. She is proud to serve the New England food system by providing access to pro bono legal assistance. She admires the hard work of farmers, the creativity of food entrepreneurs and the passion behind nonprofits in the food space. When placing cases, Mary prioritizes using plain language, identifying, and emphasizing the legal goals of the participant and finding an attorney with the right expertise. In addition to a revolving door of special projects, Mary also manages the Hub’s Winter Webinar Series for educating participants and the Hub’s CLE series for educating attorneys.
Prior to CLF, Mary spent most of her career in public health at Boston’s Massachusetts General Hospital as a database manager and community health worker before taking a chunk of time off to hike the Appalachian Trail. Mary also brings great experience as a former crops team member and food entrepreneur.
In her free time Mary enjoys trail running, rock climbing, baking, and spending time adventuring with her son.
