Nomi Sofer is the Content Director at CLF. In that role she sets content strategy, writes and edits blogs, feature stories, and development communications, and serves as the editorial director for Conservation Matters, CLF’s member magazine.

Nomi has more than 12 years of experience leading strategic communications for nonprofits and research institutions working to reduce inequities in postsecondary education, child health and wellbeing, and the criminal legal system. She has built and led communications functions that translate research, programs, and impact into narratives that engage the public, influence policy conversations, and strengthen organizations. Nomi is also the Project Director of Voices of Reentry, a documentary film and community conversation project that creates space for people returning from incarceration to tell their stories. Before pivoting to nonprofit communications, Nomi was an academic specializing in 19th century American literature and culture and a developmental editor for college textbooks.

Nomi lives in Framingham with her family, where she cycles, knits, and fights a never-ending battle with the squirrels, chipmunks, and bunnies intent on enjoying the produce she grows in her garden.
