This month, our electricity grid operator terminated its relationship with Invenergy, the company that wants to build a 1,000-megawatt gas and diesel oil power plant in Burrillville. Invenergy had promised our energy grid operator, called ISO-New England, that it would have a functional plant by 2019. However, it’s clear that this cannot happen.
