Judge OKs lawsuit claiming environmental threat at Providence waterfront fuel terminal

CLF, a Boston-based environmental group, argues that Shell, a multinational corporation headquartered in the Netherlands and the second-largest oil and gas company in the world, hasn’t done enough to protect its 75-acre facility in Providence from rising waters caused by climate change and a projected increase in the frequency of coastal storms and rain events.
