The proposal is facing stiff opposition in the proceedings from the Town of Burrillville and the Conservation Law Foundation, an environmental advocacy group, which both say the power plant would pollute the air and destroy the rural character of Pascoag, and that it isn’t needed as more renewable sources of power come online.
