Let this hurricane season be a wake-up call. Shell’s unlawful decisions have left Providence families, businesses, and all of Narragansett Bay at imminent risk of catastrophic oil and toxic chemical spills. The company has for years deceived regulators and the public about the risks of the climate crisis. It is time Shell is held accountable for years of neglect and outright deceit at the expense of public health and safety in Rhode Island.
