On the Waterfront: An Oral History of the Seaport

Deanna Moran, director of environmental planning, Conservation Law Foundation: We commissioned a survey last year and found a lot of Boston’s residents of color just don’t feel as welcome in the Seaport as white residents do. There are a lot of younger couples there, mostly affluent residents— it creates this air about the neighborhood that if you’re not in that demographic, you don’t really belong there.
